Make sure you get to the colesium at least 2 hours or more if you plan on not missing half the show. I am an avid event going. We go to events at least once a month, so I m very aware of timeing and how traffic can be. However, I have never experienced anything like this. We arrived in Greensboro at 5:15 for a 7pm show. We decided to stop at The Burger King that is a mile from the colesium. We left the Burger King at 6:15. We did not get in our seats until 8:30!!! It took us 2 hours to get a mile down the road. There were literally people stopping at stores and restaurants along the way, parking their cars and getting out and walking the mile. So it wasn t just us!! The only reason we didn t get out and walk was because one of us has a foot injury. The reason for such traffic was very obvious. The event staff or Greensboro PD, whoever it was that was supposed to be directing traffic, WERE NOT! We actually passed one leaned up against a light pole. They were just standing there. Doing nothing. Wands in hand, JUST STANDING THERE! I ve never been so mad at event staff in my life. I will never go back to Greensboro Coliseum Complex. It will be Charlotte and Raleigh from now on.
