I bought the sheet in 2001 during major renovations, about 3 years later a trace of rust appears under the chimney. Then the rust mark gets bigger from year to year. A representative of Duchense & fils came to see and he didn't want to do anything. he suggested I paint the rust with Tremglad, I painted a selvage when installing a roof window.

Now the roof looks like a skunk because of the different discoloration. The original paintwork alleviated a lot and the Tremglad remained darker. (See the Google photo)

The ice formed this winter on the roof went all in one block, my electric mast not attached to the structure, came loose, and moved a little. To repair the damage, I need a 30 "by 30" piece of sheet metal.

Today I contacted Duchense & fils company to have a piece of sheet metal, I called Duchense & fils, one weekday
It's a telephone message company answers, I have to leave a number and then someone calls back when available.
Mr. Denis Isabelle tells me that it is not possible to provide me with a part They do not keep any scraps, and do not do business with consumers, you have to go through a reseller ...

When the company receives an order, they install a roll of sheet metal in the press that formats and cuts the sheet. They have to produce a minimum of sheet metal to start the production which I have to pay.

The minimum order is around $ 100 according to a dealer consulted located on Route 158.
Obviously the color is no longer like the original, so it is impossible to repair exactly as before.

If anyone has a piece of green model TR5 sheet metal available, please write to me. Thank you.

Google informs me that this post has been viewed more than 12,000 times, despite everything this company has never attempted to respond here or contract me. :(

Find out about the written warranty and what will be done if you have rust on the sheet before ordering.
