We had a mixed experience at Ocean Maya. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were nice. Most of the staff was courteous and helpful. We booked a room with a Jacuzzi. They took us to our room ( without a Jacuzzi ) with no explanation ,I guess they hoped we wouldn't notice. We asked to be moved to a room with a Jacuzzi and after a couple of days they did. We had to check out of our room at 9:00 am but couldn't check into the other until.3:00 pm.. not ideal but we asked for the rate to be reduced on the two days we didn't have the upgraded room. We we offered 30% off at the gift shop. Maybe I'm unreasonable but it didn't sit right with me. And guess what they did the same thing to our son, only they never did get him the proper room.
