OMSI is one of the coolest things in Portland, hands down. Their current King Tut exhibit is so detail oriented and really left me with a better understanding of not only the king, but also the painstaking process used to uncover the tomb which had been lost for centuries. One of the things I like most about OMSI is the amount of hands on exhibits they have for both kids and adults alike. My girlfriend loves going to museums and similar cultural touchstones when we travel and I'm usually good to grin and bear it, but here I genuinely found myself having a good time and really enjoying myself. The public transportation options are phenomenal, which is usually true of Portland, but here even more so, due to both street car and MAX train stop right out front. If you get a chance, I could not recommend this place more highly.
