My then fiance and I were first recommended to Super Event by his parents who had attended a wedding where they had provided a marquee and catering. When we first met with Tony Brewin of Super Event I was unconvinced about having our reception in a marquee, as I had been to some events in the past which left me unimpressed. Also, as our wedding was taking place at the end of November I was concerned that it may be drafty and cold if the weather was bad.

Within five minutes of meeting Tony I wanted him to be in charge of organising our reception as he clearly has such confidence in the quality of the service he provides. He seemed to completely understand what we wanted from our day and the best way to achieve it.

It never once felt as if he was trying to sell us anything but was simply working with us and discussing options which would work best for us. He even dissuaded my fiance from adding further items to the marquee as he didn't think they were worth us paying for. Planning a wedding is stressful enough but we never had a seconds doubt or hesitation about using Super Event for the complete build and dressing of our marquee, as well as their full catering service.

On the day itself everything ran perfectly to schedule. The canapes were exquisite and the food was fantastic - both the meat and vegetarian options were delicious. The waiting staff were helpful, professional and our 'master of ceremonies' as well as being friendly and calm kept everything running exactly to time. We really were able to relax on the day as everything was so well looked after. The marquee was beautiful and felt and looked like a permanent structure. My mother, who feels the cold very badly had been concerned about the temperature in the marquee but within an hour she asked for the first time ever (exactly as Tony had confidently said she would) if we could turn the heating down.

My husband and father in law both work in the events industry and aren't easy to impress but they both continue to sing Super Event's praises to this day and we have recommended them to other friends who are planning weddings or celebrations.

Tony Brewin and Super Event really are as good as they and everyone else says they are and were worth every penny we spent with them. We cannot recommend them highly enough - I just wish we could do it again. Do they do christenings I wonder?
