We booked the 5-course tasting menu at Loch Fyne C...

We booked the 5-course tasting menu at Loch Fyne City branch for a special celebration. The booking was accepted and a non-refundable deposit charged to my credit card. However, when we arrived at the restaurant we were informed there must have been an error with the booking system as the menu booked was not offered at that branch. We had to order off of the standard menu which although OK was far short of the tasting menu we were expecting.

I subsequently complained to Loch Fyne customer relations, receiving an automated reply but nothing further (over 2 weeks ago now). I think this level of customer service is appalling and if it s an indication of the general situation at Lock Fyne it s a chain you would do well to avoid.
