I own a 2017 1794 Edition Tundra. On Apr 27, 2019 I took it in for regular service for 75K miles. I was well received at the service dept and showed where I could wait. approx 1.5 hours later the service writer informed me that they had found something very irregular from a previous brake job done at another dealer. UT did not have the part on hand but they had taken the time and trouble to call around SA for the part and found it on the other side of town but it would take them 1.5 hours to get the part to repair the problem. There was another 1,5 hr wait. but I told them to go and get the part. Service writer Malcolm then got in on the conversation and he stood up for me and said that the dealership would pay for the part and repair of the fault from the other dealer. I told them That I needed to pick up my wife at NE Lakeview College. They offered me the use of their shuttle to do this. While waiting for the shuttle to return another employ saw me sitting in the area and asked if something was wrong. After explaining everything to Ruben Gomez from finance dept he went to get his truck and gave me the keys to his truck so that I could get my wife. Both Malcolm and Ruben went high above what would be expected of them. Both men were volunteering themselves to help me thru this ordeal. Both represented Universal Toyota with great distinction and service to a customer. I feel that they should be recognized by management for such outstanding service for the dealership. They will have all of my business in the future.
