Alan Fowle Review of SS Great Britain: Visualising ...
Well worth a visit.
Well worth a visit.
being from the local area, there is so Much Of Brunel's work that has the local area appositively that I find anything related to his work fascinating.
I remember coming here on a school trip many moons ago, so when I had the chance to bring my own son I couldn't wait.
It's fairly costly to get in, but I found it worth the money.
The ship has been restored so much compared to when I visited all those years ago. This feels like a proper museum that just happens to be a ship! There are some interactive displays which help engage the kids and wandering around on deck you get a feel for what it was like all those years ago.
There was lots to see and do and Isambard Kingdom Brunel was even there himself to explain some of his history.
