I've been wanting to come here for quite a while and finally got the chance to. I happen to work at a Restaurant with a Bar, and Taylor's has been the topic of conversation quite a few times.. I honestly was surprised when I heard they served food (I thought it was only a bar) , and had a pretty decent menu! (Size and Variety wise)

I came here on a Saturday around 5:30-6pm with a friend who had been here before and suggested it. Parking lot was half full, we walked in and were immediately greeted by a waitress and were told it would just be a moment so they can clean it.

* It's actually really spacious. You walk in, there are table tops across from the bar on your right. They have the booth section on your left, as well as the bathrooms. (Having bathrooms in the dining room was a little weird to me, but I've seen worse!) *

We were seated in the booth section. I noticed that only larger parties were sat in the table section. I'm not too picky about where I sit, as long as it wasn't directly in front of the bathrooms, I would be fine.

I had already looked up the menu as it was already posted on Yelp, so I knew that I would be having the Sirloin, which comes topped with a Whiskey Bacon Jam and Crumbly Bleu Cheese on top, cooked to your preferred temperature. The combination of the Jam and Bleu Cheese was delightful. I would have never thought to pair them together, but it ended up being delicious. Sirloin tends to be a tougher meat and can sometimes be chewy, I like mine cooked Rare. It didn't cut like butter, but wasn't tough, and was delicious!

* The Whiskey Bacon Jam was sweeeeet! If your not a Crumbly Bleu fan, I'd ask for the Jam on the side, as the Steak is smothered in it. *

The Sirloin dinner comes with a choice of Potato and Vegetable, as well as a Dinner Salad. I opted for Poutine Fries, which was a serving for two! The vegetable that night was roasted sliced zucchini and squash mixture. Instead of my salad I upgraded ($1.50) to cup of the French Onion Soup.
(The Poutine Fries were also an up charge.)

The French Onion Soup killed it for me. It was flavorful don't get me wrong, just not the right flavor for a FOS. Way too much garlic! Holy minced garlic! The caramelized onions were the best. I liked that they were sliced instead of largely diced. They could of added more cheese to it, very skimpy on the cheese!

My friend had the Chicken Tender Salad (which she gets everywhere we go), she must have liked it since it was her third time having it at Taylor's. It was a mountain of lettuce with about three to four chicken tenders sliced on top.
* The Bleu Cheese dressing was one of the best I've ever tasted. Some BC dressings have a Mayo taste to them and it ruins whatever your eating. Luckily this batch/ brand didn't have that taste. *
She also had a FOS and happily enjoyed hers. I guess I'm just more intuitive on my FOS preferences!

Overall this experience was enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and the atmosphere. Our waitress (who noted it was her first week) was intuitive and attentive! *I'm not good with names or receipts, so I don't know her name!*

* ( I post all my reviews on Yelp primarily, so most of these are just copied from there and posted here. ) *
