I wanted to up my web presence for my law practice, so when Townsquare cold called me about SEO services I foolishly signed up without reading the Yelp reviews first.

I stayed with Townsquare from June to September before I dumped them. The website they created was cookie cutter and amateurish. In the four months it was active it converted 0 clients despite my aiming google adwords ads at it. They charged me about $450 a month to lose me clients.

The final aggravation was that their own reports showed they were actually FALLING in google ranking over time in many of my key categories. I called to cancel immediately on receiving their September report. Their agreement specifies that they will turn over the domain upon termination, but their corporate policy of only allowing a transfer to another godaddy account makes actually taking your domain where you want an aggravating process that will take at least 60 days to complete.

I wouldn't recommend these people to my worst enemy.
