nice hotel, nicely modernized. the restaurant inside the hotel called the Iowa Stater, has craft beers from the local area available and a nice selection on their menu for food. a good variety without a ton of choices. makes it easy for the kitchen to get things right, I recommend the spinach and artichoke dip, very tasty ! on Sunday mornings, they have a breakfast buffet, and at the price of only $12.50 is actually quite good. it didn't offer prime rib pork loin or shrimp like some of the brunch buffets would do at double the price, but they did have an omelet station, a waffle iron, and a few other breakfast favorites like French toast biscuits and gravy sausage bacon hash browns and cheese covered eggs. All that accompanied by some pretty decent coffee and your expected continental breakfast choices like cereals and pastries, made for a nice value and a good way to start the day...
