I've had a couple of really good experiences with the staff at the Ventura County Public Defender's Office. I think the secret to dealing with them is to be professional, respectful and efficient. They've only ever reciprocated. And be mindful of their time, they have a huge workload and don't typically have a lot of spare time. But yea, I've only benefited from the help of the Public Defenders in this County.
