Arrived at ER with my wife at 12am yesterday. She was having severe back pain related to a herniated disc. Due to COVID restrictions, I was not allowed in which I completely understand. I was told I could wait in my car. 3 hours later, she still had not been seen. For two of those hours, she was told she was the next patient to be seen. Because of the injury, she cannot sit so was forced to stand the entire time she waited, apparently for no one. Eventually, we left. The waiting rom was not full and there seemed to only be a handful of patients there. Staff seemed indifferent and the place was absolutely filthy. Trash on the ground, chairs with stains on them etc. I expected better from a MedStar facility, both in quality of care and quality of facility. This visit was a disaster. I don't want to fill out a survey. Just do better.
