I had a c section at this hospital in May, while I was there, nurses rarely came to check in on me, hardly saw my incision to make sure that it was okay, it was only seen maybe once or twice a day, and when I was discharged I was never given any instructions on how to care for my incision, the only thing on my discharge papers was to see a provider if I did not feel well! The day after I was discharged, I started experiencing chills and fever, as the week went on, I was in excruciating pain and having chills constantly so I ended up going to the ER. I arrived with so much pain that I could no longer walk and had to take a wheelchair and all they did was take my vitals and sit me in the lobby for hours. During those hours, no one ever came to actually get a patient to take them back and one of the employees even said that they didn t have that many people in the back, they didn t know why they weren t taking people back, I waited almost four hours in agonizing pain because it turned out that my incision was infected! When we asked them if we were going to be seen or not so we could go to another hospital, they didn t even think twice or ask any questions, they cut my armband off and sent me off. There were people in the ER who you could tell needed serious Medical attention but were not being given that. I don t want their team to tell me that I can call a department to address my concerns, I want them to actually give patients their attention and care for them rather then discard them like they don t matter, it s not a coincidence that so many people complain about the ER and that nothing is being done, it s the simple fact that they just don t care. I ended up having to go to another hospital where I was actually listened to and cared for, I already live an hour away from CFV and to have to drive another 40 minutes to another hospital while in pain was a horrible experience. I have never written a bad review but I can t believe that they treat their patients this way.
