Review of OZZYS

They do have a great selection of cars for average...

They do have a great selection of cars for average pricing. But they are the biggest crooks, don't be deceived. When I first looked at my car, Ozzy told me it was $13,900. But they had it posted online for $13,388. Ozzy then took me in to talk to Yuriy about financing. Yuriy told me that if they were to get me financed they needed $3,000 down and a strong co-signer. And he had the interest rate set at almost 13%. A week later I came back in (pre-approved through my credit union with 4% interest) to look at it and a couple others again. Ozzy then said he dropped the price to $12,999 and therefore it was a great deal. I asked if they would put new tires on it since the ones on it were pretty worn. They told me the tires had 80% life left, which I argued. So they told me they would put 40,000 mile tires on (which he said was a $300 value), or they could take that off the price of the car. I took the deal without the tires because I wanted to put actual decent tires on it. When they ran the final numbers, they just added the $300 back in as "dealer dock fees." Whatever. I took the deal because I loved the car, and took it home. When I got home, I folded the seats back up to put the kid's car seats in and noticed there was crumbs all over the floor where they had fallen out of the seats. So they didn't even vacuum the seats before they sold it. The next day a message popped up on my dash that I needed an oil change. I figured they would have changed the oil before they tried to sell it, but whatever. I live in the country so my car gets dirty pretty quickly, so I washed it. I noticed that after I washed it I saw a bunch of white on the edge of the driver and passenger doors where the paint had been chipped off, which wasn't noticeable before, and a couple of minor scratches. The day after that (two days after sale) the check engine light popped up. So I got the oil changed, hoping that would fix it. It didn't. So I had a friend look at it for me so that we had an idea of what the problem was. It had something to do with the fuel system. (I don't know, I'm not a mechanic, which is why I asked my friend for help) Then we took the car back to Ozzy's and asked if they would look at it/fix it. They were great to deal with! Anthony (after trying to suggest that I didn't put the fuel cap on tightly enough, which might explain the check engine light) got it over to the shop right away and had their mechanic scan the chip. Their mechanic said it was a generic code and wanted to have it for a couple of hours or a full day, but Anthony offered a loner car in the mean while. Great! So we scheduled it out and get it in there and back the same day. Lee called me when it was ready and said, "yeah, I'm looking at the part right here," (the bad part that they "replaced") which he sad was just a sensor. When I got my car back it reeked like cigarette smoke, and I don't smoke. The next day (the day after they "replaced" the sensor) the check engine light came back on. They didn't fix anything! I will have my own mechanic take care of my car that I've had less than two weeks, at my own expense, just so I don't have to ever deal with those snakes ever again. I also just observed noticeable wear on the outer edges of the front tires, so those need rotated ASAP also. I still love my car, but I am really annoyed with how deceitful Ozzy and his crew are. I wish I would have gone with the Odyssey at Tom Scott Honda for better quality of service and price. I shouldn't have this many problems with a 5 year old vehicle with 70K miles that I bought from a dealership less than 2 weeks ago! I would have gotten a better deal from a private sale! I will never buy from there again and I highly recommend that if you like one of their cars, find the same one somewhere else. Any other dealership, really. They will lie through their teeth, and don't properly prep their cars, so who knows what you will actually get. Luckily, my car only has 70K miles so the maintenance shouldn't be too expensive, but you might not be so lucky.
