I bought a Subaru EJ22 long block from Metric Motors - has run strong for 2+ years now. When I put it together, it wouldn't run, and they figured out why for me (was using wrong cam sprocket - not even mechanics at Subaru in American Fork could figure that out). Later, after overheating and doing a head gasket job, they successfully helped me to diagnose engine ticking noise (it was bad valve adjustment job). I thought I was in for replacing the block, but they set me right. These two times have they bailed me out of out-of-commission circumstances. They share their knowledge and answer questions unlike most mechanics. The lady answering the phone was also very helpful, kindly getting me to explain what problems I had caused myself. Without that, Chris wouldn't have been able to help me as he did. So five stars to the whole outfit.
