I checked in on a spur of the moment. As I ve always wanted to try and stay in the lagoon rooms, but never got the opportunity until recently. I m an avid hotel goer or shall I say holidayholic at times, to relax ofcourse after working hard as u would :-)
I ve always been on a look out for coolest places to stay. For this hotel , my experience came rolling downhill with reception service ....

Point 1. Double charged me for a deposit without even being informed as the bookings haven t not come through immediately....
Point 2 Receptionist staff was arrogant and unwelcoming , dishonest , I wasn t sure if it was because I wasn t wearing a suit, or I looked young for my age , or because of my ethnicity ... though for a 5 star hotel I ve never experienced such appalling service from reception staff ....

The most upsetting part was )
Dishonest /deceptive conduct - I ve paid for a lagoon room , he has advised me that he can put me on a studio room which was an upgrade. I ve referenced this to the actual description and price paid , and he s given me misleading information thinking that I would have just taken his word for it .... unacceptable conduct guys !!! Am sincerely shocked by this behaviour ....

He s advised me the pool was closing soon an hour or two earlier than the actual specified time on the pool area .... as if I wasn t welcomed at all to use their facility....aren t patrons deciding to choose your hotel over others partly because of your facilities??
Point 3 Went to the buffet breakfast restaurant early in the morning before driving back to Brisbane as I had work that day . The waitresss staff , said I haven t paid the buffet , and am not on the list , I ve called 3rd party hotel reservation through which I booked the hotel with and got a refund. At that point I just didn t bother....
I ve come in with a group of friends for my birthday earlier on the year for the seafood buffet dinner on a sat and had no dramas.
In all fairness The rooms are ok, the views of the pool during sunrise and sunset was lovely , and the back entrance to the beach was neat ...

As simple as getting a decent breakfast at the restaurant. I ended up getting breakfast elsewhere as I didn t wanna inconvenience the staff at the restaurant to help me with my breakfast booking even though I ve already paid for it...

Waste of $$$ , Versace and pepper soul any day :-))

Very disappointed !!!
