This little message to let you know about the setbacks we have experienced with IKEA at BREST!
During a visit to the IKEA store in Brest, we ordered two 90 cm beds and bought the sheets and covers that go well for an amount of more than 1,000 including tax!
We requested delivery of the beds (box springs, mattresses, box springs) for Tuesday, July 18, exactly 15 days later, this allowing the delivery services to organize themselves perfectly
and it s up to me to redecorate the room!
Tuesday July 18, I am blocking my day while waiting for the delivery which is confirmed to me between 2 and 4 pm by SMS!
I had taken care beforehand to free up space in the room by putting our bed at the recycling center .......
Very badly took me because at 3:45 pm this Tuesday July 18 (15 minutes before the deadline .....), the driver of the VIR transport company for IKEA calls me to inform me that he has a problem and cannot
not deliver me this day but rather Thursday July 20!
I express my disagreement because having no more bed to sleep that was a problem! ! !
He tells me that he will inquire and then call me .............. never got a call! ! ! !

Yesterday Wednesday, July 19, a man named GESSY from the IKEA delivery department in Paris calls me to tell me
that we would finally be delivered on July 26! ! !

You can guess my anger! I tell him that it is not possible and ask to be delivered if it is not this same day at least July 20!
Nothing to do, he does not want to hear anything and finally offers me the cancellation of my order, so that I can go to the store by
my own (sic!) to redo a new takeout order this time!


We go to the IKEA store in Brest with a service number and meet two people at this counter, who go out of their way to satisfy us! Praise be to God there are competent people
at IKEA but they are rare .....
In the space of 3/4 of an hour our material is brought without us having to go around the shelves thanks of course
to these two people from the after-sales service Ikea Brest.
We had asked Mr. Gessy for a commercial gesture, and the reimbursement of the delivery costs paid at the origin of the order.
The SAV Brest manager did his best, making a refund to a bank account (which worked I hope) and giving us a credit of 20 for the commercial gesture! ! !

BALANCE SHEET: two lost days, 50 van rental and a COMMERCIAL GESTURE of 20 !

I do not know what you think but I find the pill very difficult to swallow! ! !
