I want to give BreakThrough a positive review since my physical therapist was essential to my recovery from a running-related injury.

I'm unable to do so due to an unfortunate combination of circumstances and policy: BreakThrough gives every patient one free cancellation, and I had used mine due to a last-minute work obligation. After my scheduled treatment plan was complete, however, my therapist urged me to continue regular appointments "so these injuries don't keep happening." (I don't know why she said that since this was my first non-trivial injury in many years of running.) I reluctantly agreed and showed up for one of these appointments. We spent the hour going over basic running drills and stretching, all of which I felt to be not worth the $100, so I decided not to continue with more sessions.

Regrettably this information didn't get communicated to the front desk, so when I didn't come to the next appointment I was charged a $40 cancellation fee. To make matters worse, I had moved addresses and didn't receive their initial letter but only their *second* letter, by which time the fee had doubled to $80. I tried calling to explain this situation but the charge was non-negotiable, even the additional late fee due to not having received the first letter in the mail.

Ultimately, I paid the $80, but this situation left me frustrated. So, yes, as physical therapy goes BreakThrough does a fine job. Just be careful about being conscripted into additional sessions, and be careful when you cancel appointments.
