I have boarded my cat at California Cat Center for several years now. Always, he got excellent care and I was very satisfied. However, recently, I had to board my cat for the longest time ever, that is, 2 months. All care was excellent until about a week before my return, my cat was infected with ear mites. He is 17 1/2 years and, in ALL those years, he has never had any infections (he is an indoor cat). The Center so much as admitted that my cat might have been infected because another cat with ear mites was groomed and somehow the mites were passed to my cat. It has taken several treatments to get rid of the mites. Possibly due to the stress of receiving those treatments, my cat also got ringworm (again, for the first time in 17 1/2 years!). Several weeks of treatment which included 2 sulphur baths thus causing more stress to my cat. When you board your cat at this hotel, make sure you ask them if any other cats have infections that can be transmitted. Someone there got careless!
