This "castle" (a beautiful 19th-century manor) is popular for weddings and honeymoons, and I can see why! (Though for us it was just a vacation splurge)

Our room in the newer hotel was clean, spacious, and awesome: in-room jacuzzi, fireplace, and a large, comfortable bed next to the windows with a beautiful view right down onto Seneca Lake.

I can't speak for the food (didn't eat here at all), but a stroll around the well-maintained grounds was relaxing and beautiful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary wine-tasting that came with our room (the wines were better than I expected, and some rather interesting styles and blends including icewines, dry wines, and semi-sweet ones)

Really enjoyed the one night we stayed here!
