The Christmas By Candlelight here is a must-do event. I am lucky enough to be a participant (I'm a caroler) and everything was completely magical. My children came one night as well (they're four and six) and this is truly an event for all ages. There are demonstrations of food and crafts and dancing, as well as horse drawn carriage rides. There is also an interesting talking Christmas tree puppet named Tinsel, who seems out of place in the 1830's atmosphere but is worth seeing. Don't miss the Nativity Village and the gingerbread house contest.
