I felt compelled to write this review after visiting GSVS myself. I had gone back and forth for days trying to decide if I should take my kitten there to see an ophthalmologist after reading some less than perfect reviews. After a few days, this was the only place I could make an appointment to be seen the next day. When I walked in, the facility was clean and organized. The front desk staff was very courteous and attentive. They checked me in and created a file for my kitten. It took about 40 minutes after our appointment to get called in, but for such a busy place I could understand that and be reasonable. There were quite a few emergencies that came in during that time. When we were called in, Dr. Pierce was waiting for us in the room. He listened to every word about my kitten's history and was very thorough and gentle with my baby. After, he explained the course of treatment and made sure to reassure me. He prescribed a new medication and we were on our way.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience at GSVS. I would definitely go back there if I needed to, although I hope I don't! The only thing that would have made me like it even more is if they had separate areas for different types of pets in the waiting room. My eight month old kittens were terrified by some of the bigger dogs, despite my efforts to try to sit off to the side. I do not feel it was ridiculously expensive charge for a specialist when compared to a visit to a regular vet.
