I was contacted by 'Sam' the auditor for EveryContractor. Seemed like a nice guy. Wasn't really sure why he was calling me after 9 years, however, I listened. He advised me that they knew that they had messed up and that I was due for a refund. A $3,000 refund or credit. I knew I didn't spend that much. Sam and I traded texts for days with us not being able to set up a time for EC to call me. We finally got to it today - I spoke with David Johnson the owner. He speaks with great sincerity...however, if you read his open letter which does a great job of talking about unprofessional contractors...I guess that's me! I signed up with them, but at the time they weren't actually set up for Canada - so, I didn't get any leads. After many emails and phone calls I gave up. I guess that makes me unprofessional. We did a little thing called 'join me' which gave me access to my account while on the phone with David. David very nicely went through things subtly pointing out what I had done wrong - even though he admitted that they hadn't held up their end of the bargain. It was a painful conversation and I would caution anyone who was a client of theirs. I ended up disconnecting the call - they called me back - and we went on for awhile again until I disconnected a second time. The gist of it is he was going to give me a credit of $3000. I didn't want a credit. I would've been ecstatic if I'd got my original $324 (approx) back. However, to be honest, I feel like I wasted my time even dealing with them again. It was a frustrating experience and brought back too many bad memories. Maybe your experience will be different....
