I moved into Post Park in September 2018 and was greeted by the nicest young lady by the name of Addi. She was very through and pleasant. She made the experience there great.
I became very ill after moving into the apartment and had to stop working to have two surgeries. I went to the rental office and spoke to the Property Manager Amanda McGraw and was very transparent as to what I was dealing with and even provided documentation from my medical professionals. I made sure to communicate with her how I would get payments into the office. At the time I was going through social services, salvation army and church's. Because I suffer from Bi-polar my case worker was working on getting me assistance so that I wouldn't become homeless. She smiled and said that's fine as long as you continue to bring payments in and keep the communication open we should not have any issues. Well with all of that said, I had the second surgery on the 7th of last month and the day after my surgery the Sheriff's were knocking on my door telling me they were getting ready to put my things on the street. So, I had to watch these strangers throw my things in black bags and put them out on East-West Highway in the rain and snow in my pajamas!! While all of this was happening I called my case worker to tell her I was being sat out on the street. She called Ms. Amanda McGraw to ensure that the rent would be paid in full by two agencies but she wouldn't allow it. I never received an eviction letter from the courts at all and I have no reason to lie about that. I might be bi-polar but I'm not crazy to want my things sat on the street in my pajamas in the rain and snow.
Please understand if I wasn't transparent and I was trying to take advantage of the situation I could understand the disrespect. But to just be released from the hospital and be thrown on the street like that is truly just unjust and border line prejudiced and inhuman. Many of my items were stolen from the workers that packed up my things such as jewelry, both bathroom accessories, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, laundry detergent, trash bags, cleaners and jewelry curio and other items. I have never felt so disrespected in all of my life. So please do not let the nice exterior fool you because there are many other issues that should be dealt with.
As of now I am homeless with no family with a case manager trying to find me a place to stay.
OLD POST 9/18
Three weeks ago my life came to a screeching halt. My father became prey to a reverse mortgage shortly after my mother passed in 2003. In May of 2017 he passed and I tried to find out as much as possible to keep the home. However, that didn't happened, so I was notified on a Monday evening by Cosmopolitan Investment Group that I would be evicted the following Monday, which only gave me 7 days to gather up as much as I could after being in the home for 50 years. Needless to say I wasn't prepared for such harsh treatment being that my father was World War II and Korean War veteran . On Friday afternoon I ventured out to get more boxes to continue packing and to get a PO Box because at that point, I knew my son and I were considered homeless. But, on my way to the Post Office I just looked at Post Park and said "Lord if this is in your will..let it be done" Well it was in his will! And with the help of the best Senior Leasing Consultant -(Addi Aliu) I've dealt with made it possible to move in to my new apartment on the 21st of September. Addi Aliu not only is professional but compassionate as well. I would recommend Post Park to a friend or just someone who is looking for a beautiful apartment home. Addi is still very attentive and concerned about the overall experience in the community, along with the other staff there as well. There is never a time you can go into the leasing office and there is a feeling that no one wants to assist in whatever issue you may have. I appreciate the entire staff at Post Park and hope you will to.
