I recently purchased a Schott bomber jacket knowing I'd need a couple alterations for the ideal fit (shortened sleeves, shoulders taken in). The trouble was finding someone who could perform the work, as there are plenty of tailors in my area, but none specialize in leather - even with Boston being only about an hour's drive. After some searching, I saw Arrow recommended by someone on the Schott forums, and decided to reach out.
Bruce at Arrow got back to me faster than the competitors, and offered personalized service throughout. I admit I was nervous sending my jacket halfway across the country to be altered sight unseen. Ultimately, I was able to describe the fit I was going for, and the alterations were made and the jacket arrived back at my doorstep in about two weeks - all for around a hundred dollars less than I expected.
The work done by Arrow was right on the money; the stitching was perfect, and the fit was exactly what I was going for. The entire process came with a certain leap of faith, as I'd never had these kind of leather alterations done before, much less on a brand new $1,200 jacket.
I don't typically write reviews, but when a business deals primarily in a service (versus tangible goods) I believe word of mouth goes an especially long way. So if you're in need of leather alterations and don't know where to start, I highly recommend reaching out to Arrow Fabricare.
Five stars, well deserved.
