I do like this hotel, don't get me wrong but they're a star away from 4 stars because I get the sense that the management/staff doesn't take too much pride in the cleanliness and general functioning of the hotel.
The staff is nice and polite but the place could be a lot cleaner. The carpet for example has a waxy dirty feel and I didn't feel comfortable walking on it barefoot. And the bathroom is a little dorm-y. The oldness of the hotel has it's charm which I enjoyed but it's not for everyone. The elevator and rooms are very small and it's not luxurious by any means (single Queen room). The elevator was fun and vintage for me but I see how someone who prefers creature comforts and amenities would not be a fan.
Location is top notch and its pretty affordable but that's your trade off for tiny, and not super clean. The old historic feel could be seen as a positive or negative depending on the person.
