I don't think I can add much to all the great reviews, but the AMNH is really awesome. My most recent visit had a couple of exhibits closed down, but we still managed to spend almost the entire day roaming. The museum has a great variety of displays that offer something for everybody. The gift shop has lots of great stuff for kids and adults, and isn't nearly expensive as one would think. Not that it's cheap. Overall, a must for any New Yorker, or anybody really. A fantastic journey through the history of our species and our planet.
