I group of us had lunch at Gurneys in August (restaurant outside by the pool). The food was average (though the fried chicken sandwich was very good and I recommend). The drinks, ambiance and service during the meal was great. The big issue was that they overcharged us in a fraudulent way...which we realized later.

Specifically, on the receipt they added a hidden charge to the bill (embedded in the subtotal which didn t equal the sum of the items ordered) on top of what we ordered. The amount was not large but after pointing it out to their management s attention (after many calls, voicemails, fb messages) there was no action or resolution. I would expect more professionalism and integrity from this place and name (as I ve been to other Gurneys in Montauk with no issue)
