I took my son here last January on poor advice from another emergency clinic in town. The hospital gave him ibuprofen and sent us on our way. After receiving a bill for $2000, between the hospital and ER doctor, I called and wrote multiple letters to find out why we were charged so much and if I could negotiate it based on the lack of emergency. I felt robbed after spending 1 hour in the ER and owing $2000!

I NEVER received a response from the hospital to talk about my bill. I wrote the ER doctor separately and was told that my son was considered a "Level 4" emergency (on a scale of 5 as the most severe). I disputed this classification, never received a response except for a notice that I was being sent to collections.

This is the only place in our society that can randomly charge us for services and get away with no explanation. Needless to say, after months of no response I just paid the bill. They won, I couldn't even get an explanation.
