One of my favorite parts of the park! Never too crowded, nice areas of grass and benches to read or picnic. Free admission for SF residents (they check ID or ask for zip codes). I love the annual flower pianos-- 12 pianos places around the park for formal performances and also for the public to play. I do wish they were open a bit later in the summertime. They close at 5 which is a bummer (at least until 6/7 would be nice on weekends). The magnolia blooms are also beautiful to check out in the spring.

The entrance is close to 9th/Irving making it a great place for a post-meal stroll.
