What a wonderful weekend in Del Mar! I hadn t been to San Diego in years and was really looking forward to my visit with family. We could not have chosen a better property to stay at. The beautiful drive down the golf course lined road which then opens up to a fantastic fountain and a valet team at the ready. We dropped off our items with Saman who not only took them to our room but even hung up our jackets! The lobby greeted us with very elegant charm and an amazing floral display! Estelle at the front desk not only warmly checked us in but ensured we could find our way around and had everything we needed. I loved the feel of the whole hotel, all the seating areas were comfortable and the staff was friendly. I went to the pool and the water was a perfect temperature, even for a high cloud day. When I got out the pool attendant had left me ice water and a menu - that was unexpected and thoughtful! My family cannot rave enough about Andrew at the lobby bar. His hospitality and delicious cocktails made us keep coming back for more. We had lunch on the patio overlooking where they were setting up for a wedding. I would have loved to experience that! Gently billowing sheers, huge flower displays and a beautiful park like area - lucky bride and groom! We will certainly look forward to coming back here.
