A fantastic place to be an undergrad in health sciences (clinical and otherwise) if you enjoy being ignored by academic and support staff. I have experienced being ostracised by staff for having knowledge beyond the scope of the course.
I experienced being patronised by academic staff when addressing a concern with regarding assessment (a concern held by other students too).
When I sought support from "support services", I was ignored.
AUT is a terrific place to study health sciences if you want to pay exorbitant fees to be spoken at by lecturers without PhD qualification who use convenience rather than accuracy as justification for what and how they assess.
My experience was isolating and dehumanising. I do not believe the institution offers this experience across all courses however, this was my experience in the course I enrolled in (and have subsequently withdrawn from).
I'm sure that it is actually a lovely place to teach/lecture in health sciences because the policies support the experience of the staff rather than that of the students.
