30 minute 'to-go' order. Went here yesterday and it was extremely slow, but thought it was a fluke so came back. (The pastries are good).
Went in to have a piece of quiche, avocado toast, and two coffees to go. In your head how long will this take? Multiply that threefold.
Employees heated up my quiche, then had confusion about how to/who will make the toast. Finally made it to the register after 10 min. Paid for all my items, was given my quiche, no toast, no coffees. Asked about my coffees and they said 'oh yeah, it'll come up' (except the paper cups and coffee machine are a foot behind you). I smiled and said 'sure' and waited at the entrance.
Watched another 5-7 people get served and then was given my toast. We are about 20 minutes in and the quiche is cold. I now have to remind the employees I'm still waiting for two coffees, and guess what? While they were busy giving everyone coffees behind me in their to-go orders, they ran out. So now I'm waiting for an entire batch of coffee to be brewed.
The guy gives me my coffee about 25 min in and asks me 'that was everything right?' And now I have to say 'yes, but now everything is cold'.i now watch them reheat a new quiche and make a new toast.
I understand how it gets busy - just help a customer out from beginning to end. The system that's in place isn't working. At least the food is good?
