It was cheap to rent a car, but using a foreign (Dutch) debit card caused the staff to cut all kinds of corners. They wanted to test the card, but that's usually done at the end of the registration process. So everything was skipped (they put a straight line where we were supposed to put our signature) and the payment processed started right away. It succeeded, but we didn't complete the form: it was left as it was.
So without any signature, we got a slightly scratched but otherwise fine car (with the fuel yank half full - we had to ask for them to write that down).

It was inconvenient they didn't have a children's seat: we had buy our own :(
