Nixy G Review of Spring Time Nursery

Took my little boy to see Santa, as I do ever year. Very accommodating, my son is in a wheelchair and also doesn't deal well with crowds or queing due to another medical condition. I was given a special time slot by the manager during quiet times, we were met and escorted to the train ride. We were further assisted getting off and on the train ride and my son's chair was taken by a staff member to meet us at the other end. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The train ride was lovely as always. Once off the train ride, we qued for a bout 20 mins to see Santa as there was only 2 working at that time. Once in, Santa was pleasant enough but there was no offer or help to have my son sit on his lap like previous years, I felt he didn't interactive with him a great deal. He said I could take a few pics on my phone and when I asked for a professional one, he said the Elf should be around to take one, there was no sign of her, my dad went out looking for her and no-one was around, he came back and Santa made a comment about her being naughty and always walking off and chatty to the other elfs or being on her phone. Then I went out looking, I had to walk up a bit and found her messing about with another Elf, asked her to take a pic, she came, she said she would take a few as my son's condition makes him move a lot and it's hard to get a good picture first time, she showed me them, I picked one, said she would send that across for me to buy after we picked a present. We left to go to Santa's toy shop, using the golden ticket he gave my son. The toy shop is packed full of toys to choose from, unfortunately, not any real options for a child with Special Needs, we picked some magic sand in the end as that was really the only suitable toy. When we got to the picture booth to purchase the photo, the elf had sent a different picture to what I chose and my son wasn't even looking at the camera and he was blurry so I left it. It was a shame as I have a professional picture from there from every year from ages 1-5 and wanted to add it to our collection. I will just have to blow up one I took. All in all, despite that little inconvenience, it was great as usual. There are reindeer to see after and there is a big snow globe you can play in and get a photo but it's very overpriced as are refreshments available so I would advise taking your own
