So we where there this Sunday for the Sunday brunch buffet (03.10.2019) oh my god we where shocked ...this was absolutely disgusting we never had this before at the Broadmoor! The brunch buffet is now in the tower area in a big room regarding the renovation from the Lake Terrace rooms at the D rooms.
First they don't tell you this when you make the reservation, second you get maybe 40% from the Lake Terrace buffet ...for example the salad bar is a joke... five salads two dressings with yogurt(my wife does have a lactose intolerance!) no vinegar no oil nothing..next the breakfast bar: you can make your egg Benedict by yourself (on a sign they tell you) in two disgusting pots ,the deli meat bar horrible everything looks like its not fresh and its tastes like that .. the bread bar no rolls no bread nothing only a few dry muffins and croissants i had to order bread ..the cheese bar: four kinds of different cheeses everything is on the floor and looks disgusting ...the hot food everything is cold: asparagus cold, sauces cold, meat cold ..i tried the filet Mignon and here it comes!!! The meat is already cooked and the guy only puts it back on the grill to warm it up the same with the fish it's unbelievable this is the Broadmoor shame on them next the glass for the champagne full with lipstick ...also they grill in the middle of the room steaks and fish so after 30 minutes the whole room stinks from oil and of course you too ...where is here the Health department??? Where is the food temperature control where is any control???
We paid $173 for a two star Buffet.. don't get me wrong it's not about the price it's about the buffet itself you can't serve something like this for the full price when its worth may be $30 and nobody tells you this .I am a trained executive chef and i was shocked we only go a few times a year out and then to the Broadmoor but this was the last time we told this the Manager and he only sad sorry i don't expect anything but this was the last time i go to the Broadmoor i would fire this Head chef immediately...
Shame on you Management from the Broadmoor to rip off people this way!
