Brought my rabbits in for a routine vaccination which turned out to be a nightmare. Thanks to Gonzales who would not give up trying to make sense of the Vaccination card - luckily he did. We eventually found out that the injections I had paid for back in April, which should have been for the deadly disease VHD 2 , had in fact never been given. All these months I thought my rabbit was protected, and having had six who had died horribly from VHD 2 three years ago it means everything for my rabbits to have this jab. This is what you get for handing your pet through a window ( during Covid) and not being able to talk to the vet . Also, I ( my rabbit ) could have wreaked havoc on other rabbits when I take them to be boarded when I m away. She rightly insists all rabbits have the VHD 2 . Turns out the vet that saw Dolly in April ( who I never saw as I was kept outside) decided without telling me or asking me , NOT to give Dolly her VHD 2 jab , but instead gave her the Combi Myxi jab. Which does not protect against this killer disease. Dolly runs around a cordoned off piece of garden nearly all day with her son. I cringe at the thought during fly season, and birds landing all around. I was absolutely fuming with her and told her so. She had no right to change my rabbits vaccination, not tell me , and worse let me believe Dolly had had her jab. Disgusting.
