Decided to treat my parents to a Saturday night dinner. The food was excellence but my 3 stars come from the service. The following are the reasons why I did not like the service we received:

1. Greet/Welcome: After we were seated by the hostess, we waited about 5-7 minutes for anyone to greet us. I used to be in the restaurant business and I know that 2 minutes is the maximum time you should allow your guest to wait for a greet or welcome. Once our waiter acknowledged us, he did not introduce himself (therefore I do not remember his name) and he seemed in a rush.

2. Attentiveness: after we ordered our drinks, it was noticeable that once we needed a refill our waiter took quite awhile to notice. He tended to pass up our table and pay more attention to his other tables that were around us. Not sure what the reason was behind this but I d have to guess on the items we had order. The other tables had many items so I understand that a server would pay attention to those tables more due to larger tip but that s not an excuse to ignore us. After our food arrived our waiter did not come and ask us how our food was tasting. After we finished our meals we sat at the table with empty plates for about 10 minutes until another person that wasn t our waiter picked up our plates. I understand a server can be busy but that wasn t the case.

Again, I m not sure why we weren t that important to our waiter compared to the other tables but this is the reason I gave the waiter a 12% tip. Normally I tip 20% since I used to be a waiter but this was unacceptable. Sure it s only a couple lost dollars but next time I want to visit the restaurant again will be based on my decision if I want to gamble on the server.
