I have stayed in Chula Vista in the past and I usually don't have that good of an experience. However, I decided to try their upscale rooms and even have a kitchen/kitchenette in them that they refer to as "Villas" and supposed to be overlooking the golf course.

So I arrive, there is broken glass all over the sidewalk to the building, which ends of staying there the entire time - I even watched several staff members walk right past it. You approach the main door to the VIlla building and as you can see below, it looks like someone tried to break in.

I check out the room and the bed has tons of hair in the sheets, on the blankets and the quilts. Call room service, they claim they have already changed the sheets - which they did not. Look below at my pictures to see the terrible condition that the beds were in - literally bowing like an old piece of wood; not to mention the stains.

The final day it snows about 6 inches, and of course no one shovels the walk at all and again staff members walk through it but nothing happens. But not to worry, the entrance to the hotel's fancy Kaminski Bros steak house was shoveled and salted. I drove over and checked about 5 minutes after I took the picture of the snow sidewalk at my villa.

I repeatedly called the front desk and they didn't seem to care one way or the other and treated us like we were a bother to them. I didn't notice any roaches or bedbugs, so I guess they get a star for that - otherwise not very impressed!

*** UPDATE: per the post they made, I emailed the company and I have received no response.
