The communication is worse than in the military...the orthopedics and travel department are inept when it comes to finding and processing paperwork, or communicating with patients. This adds an underlying level of frustration when it is a painful 5 hour commute each way, and it is still insisted that it is required for something that could be handled on the phone. Speaking of phones: they have yet to answer, and sometimes take weeks just to return a call. If I can't trust this VA to deign to talk to a lowly combat vet, than why on Earth would I trust them to handle my physical livelihood? Spokane VA is astronomically better, go to them if you get any say in the matter.
