We have been looking forward to coming back here for about a year. My son had fantastic memories of the water slide. Since we live a ways away, today was the first day it worked to come. He went down the slide once and was approached by a life guard. He brusquely told him he couldn t do it anymore. We had checked his height coming in. He was maybe 1/2 inch short. Because he had done it with no problems before, we assumed he would be fine. I went over to discuss it with the lifeguard and was treated with total contempt. His demeanor and the way he spoke to me was disrespectful and dismissive. If the policy has changed since we were last there, I completely understand that; however, the lack of professionalism and basic human decency by this lifeguard was deplorable. We left immediately after that with both of my boys in tears. We won t be returning to your community center.
