Both my mother (who is 97) and I (I am 73) have had nothing but the best of experiences with The Treatment and Learning Centers, where Susan Yaffe-Oziel has been the primary person working with us to help with our hearing problems. She and Nina and the other audiologists we have occasionally seen when Susan was not available have unfailingly been respectful, thoughtful, smart about what needed to be done, and efficient. Nancy, the main receptionist, is always warm and welcoming, and the other person who is sometimes at the desk and who I think is named Linda (I am overtired at the moment and apologize if I got that wrong) is the same. Over decades of accompanying Mother to audiologists in three different cities across the US, I have never been as happy and felt as secure that she was getting good care as at TLC. That's why I had Susan check my hearing for what I assumed would just be to get a baseline, and when she told me that I had borderline hearing loss and COULD either get or not get hearing aids, I had by then learned that getting them early can help prevent or reduce development of dementia, so I got them and have little trouble with them. Mother's hearing loss is severe, and Susan's problem-solving abilities have been crucial, as has her patience about trying to figure out puzzling things.
