We only visited for cocktails and dinner and found it to be a lovely setting. The old building has been renovated very, very well and is stylish yet in keeping with it s past.

The food is good and the service ok. A little overbearing perhaps, and I didn t like the way the restaurant manager seemed to pocket the tip I left for the waiter.

The sunset is nice, but top tip is to go to the back of Elephantine Island, opposite the Aga Khan mausoleum. You will find a small beach and some rocks. Sit on the rocks and watch an amazing sunset without the $20 cocktail! First two photos taken from there.
