My children desperately wanted a dog so we visited...

My children desperately wanted a dog so we visited the shelter on NUMEROUS occasions. Each time we left in tears. We were not allowed to be introduced to one dog in the ENTIRE shelter. The staff is rude and they act like they are doing you a favor.

We eventually went elsewhere and found our perfect dog. I told our vet in Marblehead about our AWFUL experience and he said "don't feel bad, they wouldn't let me adopt a dog either." Seriously??? I guess if a vet isn't good enough then no one is!
