We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the luau. The ride was fun, informative, and interactive. We got the middle package which came with 2 drink tickets per person (it was just my husband and I). When we got there we were greeted with a nut lei and there were activities that included making our own palm tree head bands, a coconut husking demo and tasting, tattooing, fire starting competition, and we had our picture taken with a warrior and hula dancer ($25). We sat our seats and were released by table to the buffet. The all you can eat buffet included fish, chicken, pork, salad, rolls, fried noodles, poi, and pineapple cake. There was drum music and many dancing demos including a fire dance. We had the opportunity to go up on stage and dance (it was silly and fun). They also had newlyweds, people celebrating a wedding anniversary (it was our 10 year when we went) and they asked the longest married couple in the audience to come up on stage. We got to have a special dance and the ladies received a bouquet of flowers. It was a wonderful experience! The chief is thoughtful and really funny!
