The building itself it impressive and on it's own ...

The building itself it impressive and on it's own worth a visit. However, as a museum it disappoints.
although the building has a rich history spanning almost fifteen centuries, the museum consist of nothing more than a few scarce signs with minimal explanation. I also rented the audio tour, which offers a bit more information, but in all is still unsatisfactory.
