I have been enrolled into FLVS for about a year now, and I personally think this a good school overall. I mean, having to deal with a limited amount of people is a dream, is it not? Although DBAs are stressful, you only have to do them like a few times a month, plus a couple collaborations. Most of the teachers are really nice and try their best to help you understand the content. I know some teachers are hard to schedule with, but I keep in mind that they have a BUNCH of students to tend to as well, and not to mention the assignments they have to grade too (someone give them a raise, seriously.), there are even quizzes they have to grade. So, I kind of cut them some slack. BUT, the only thing I am kinda iffy about is some of the courses they have to offer. Based on personal experience, learning a language online is HARD. The Spanish course has livelessons at the most inconvenient time, so I personally couldn't attend them. That kinda stunk, because you can only learn so much by reading about a different language, and not HEARING it as much. (Math is also the same way. Some students need to have an extra boost in that subject, and math tends to be very hard in general now. I mean, I am not ragging on FLVS in particular, but every school in general is like this. Math is just a complicated subject to teach, and it makes students fail the EOCs. Geometry is okay, because the EOC isnt mandatory to pass. Algebra is where the difficulty is.) FLVS is awesome overall, and it's important to remember that not all schools are perfect.
