I originally booked this with my partner at a food festival in August time, I redeemed my voucher and it took a while for them to contact me and I had to chase them a couple of times. I then had a call to get me booked in, this was all sorted with a date and I was just waiting on a call from the rep to ask for the address etc. Tim called me on the Monday which was 2 days before he was due to come, he was very nice on the phone and told me he will be with us 15 minutes early just so we are ready to go for 8pm. Tim did arrive on time that night and I have to say he was a lovely bloke ! I read some bad reviews just before this night but I had paid and thought I may as well go through with it, and I am extremely glad I did ! Myself, my partner, my sister and her partner had a fantastic night and a great laugh, we learnt more about wines and learnt more about what we like and what we would look for when we eat out at restaurants. We did a quiz and there was a couple of cool prizes and a free bottle of wine which for the price we paid was a real bargain !!
As you find with a lot of these things at the end the reps are very pushy to get you to purchase wines, Tim asked us if there any we would like to purchase which is part of his job of course, but he was not in the slightest pushy and he did not make us feel uncomfortable at all. We will use Tim when purchasing premium wines and we have also already told other people who are keen to book a similar night with Tim. If you do book one of these please ask for Tim Pocks to run the evening, we will definitely be using him in the future for another wine tasting evening or to purchase some wine !
The company messed up at the start and I had to chase them, and if the rep was not likeable I would be giving this 2 stars but with Tim it is easily 5 stars for the night itself.
