My family had our christmas eve dinner at
Filomena's.

We all ordered the 7 fishes dinner menu.

Growing up Italian American I never heard
About 7 fishes for Christmas eve.

My mom always made a fresh cod stew with green olives, and potatoes .
Smelt's and fried flounder were also
Lovingly prepared.

Unfortunately, I was terribly disappointed
That the smelt's tasted "fishy".

I was also disappointed in the Mediterranean salad.

The shrimp were lousy.
No texture.

Not lousy was the entree.

I had the mixed seafood over linguini
With a red sauce.

The scallop was fresh, the lobster perfectly
Cooked and the shrimp was not lousy.

Also not lousy was the service and
All the staff at Filomena's.

Life is not perfect, but being with your
Family and friends in a nice place
Is special.

P.s. I believe the chef got scammed with those smelts.
